Faith

It is often said or thought that it is difficult to fulfill the law of god. This is not true. God does not ask you for anything other than to love God and your neighbor, and love is not difficult but joyful.

Religious thinking develops over time. It is a mistake to suppose that past religious thinking is the same as today's. This is the same as thinking that you can fit into your baby clothes again after you've grown up.

True faith does not need great temples, golden ornaments, or music. On the contrary, true faith comes into your heart out of silence and solitude.

Faith does not consist in the things you hesitate to believe in, but in those things you are certain of.

True religion, true faith, makes us sons of God, not His slaves. To know God means to love God, to rely on Him, and to live according to His law.



믿음

신의 법을 실현하기는 어려운 것으로 얘기되고 생각되어진다. 사실이 아니다. 신은 신을 사랑하고 이웃을 사랑하는 것 이상 요구하지 않고, 사랑은 어려운 것이 아니라 즐거운 것이다.

종교적 사고(思考)는 시간이 지남에 따라 발전한다. 과거의 종교적 생각이 오늘날과 똑같을 것으로 가정하는 것은 잘못이다. 그것은 마치 성장한 후에 어렸을 때 옷을 다시 입으려는 것과 같다.

진정한 믿음은 큰 사원, 금 장식, 음악이 필요 없다. 반대로 진정한 믿음은 침묵과 고독으로부터 당신 마음에 온다.

믿음은 믿기 망설여지는 것으로 이루어진 것이 아니라 당신이 확신할 수 있는 것으로 이루어져 있다. 진정한 종교, 진정한 믿음은 우리를 신의 노예가 아니라 신의 아들로 만든다. 신을 안다는 것은 신을 사랑하는 것이고, 신을 의지하는 것이고 신의 계명에 따라 사는 것이다.
